Details: I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. After my tenure in the U.S. Air Force I married and started a family. I worked in Administrative Management for many years, but followed my dream of writing and became Editor of a community newspaper in Malakoff, Texas, The Malakoff News. At the same time I became involved in Hospice as a Chaplain. I became Managing Editor of Country Press Group which published four newspapers soon after. I had the priviledge of working with some great people, publishers, editors and other news folks, ultimately winning numerous awards for excellence in publishing and advertising. Now I journal and it brings great relief from stress and serves as a great reminder of blessings and challenges of daily life. Getting outdoors and taking a swift walk helps regulate thoughts and offer feelings of general well being. My inspiration for life comes from Jesus Christ, He is the center of my life. I am married to Michael Bacon, (who is also my pastor), we have four children and eight wonderful grandchildren. A silky terrier (London) and beautiful cat (Bill aka BB).
